Cycle/Golf on Galiano Island

This cycle has very short legs but there is a moderate hill and it does involve a 9 hole round of golf on a very interesting and challenging course (bring balls!!!).

Ferry leaves at 10:25am, so you should be at the terminal by 10am to get your ticket. With the hour long ferry ride and the cycle to the golf course, we should be teeing off around noon.

Cycling distance on Galiano is ~5km each way between the Ferry terminal and the golf course. You can rent equipment at the course, or you can carry the few clubs you might need with you.

An option is to do another nine holes (add $15) if there’s interest. And if not, it just leaves more time to apres at the Hummingbird Pub or site-see around the island before catching the 5:55pm ferry back (quick 15 min downhill from pub).

For golf course info -see www.golfgaliano.com This is a weather dependent event, as long as rain’s not expected, it’ll be a GO. There are options to park at S. Delta Rec Centre (free) and cycle to the terminal (7km/15min), park near Bridgeport Stn & take the bike bus, or cycle from wherever you live the all the way (I usually start from S. Bby myself).

Just make sure whichever means that you get to the ticket booth on-time (cut-off is 10:15)
