Crescent Beach Healthy Morning Walk & Café Social

Join us for a refreshing morning outing in the beautiful Crescent Beach area!

We’ll begin by meeting at the end of 24th Avenue, parking near the Christopherson Steps, our starting point. Free street parking is available.

Our adventure starts with a scenic descent down a steep hillside trail featuring over one hundred beautifully maintained wooden stairs. We’ll cross a railway overpass with lovely views of the surrounding beach, then head down a short set of metal stairs to reach the shoreline of Crescent Beach.

From there, we’ll enjoy a peaceful 20-minute beach walk toward Beecher Street. Along the way, take in spectacular views north toward Vancouver and south toward the USA. During low tide, we’re often lucky enough to spot eagles feasting — so keep your eyes open!

After a short stroll along Beecher Street, we’ll arrive at the Sunflower Café.

Menu options include: Delicious fresh baked berry muffins, Scones, Soup and Sandwiches.

There is seating indoors and outdoors, with patio heaters often running if needed. This café is very dog friendly and allows dogs in the outdoor patio. Inside Edge members that wish to bring their dog should advise the organizer.

After relaxing and socializing, we’ll walk back to our cars along the beach the way we came.

What to Bring (Weather Dependent)

Sunglasses, warm layers, walking footwear, walking poles, umbrella (if raining), binoculars & camera (highly recommended for scenery and eagle sightings)
