Fintry 2024

Welcome to the BC Day long weekend camping trip with the Inside Edge Club at Fintry Provincial Campground.

We have reserved Group Site Pod 3 which consists of:

• A covered cook shelter (no walls) with a tin roof, cement floor and several picnic tables.
• A counter with shelving and sink which runs cold water only.

Our Pod shares flush toilets and a water tap with the other group sites. We are a short walk to the shower house and ice freezer.

Just to note for those who may bring RV’s the Group Sites do not have power or water hookups.

Campers are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and providing their own food, drink and camping gear (BBQ, stove, tent, bedding etc.)

• Anyone needing a ride and anyone open to car sharing please let the Host know so she can try and match you up with someone.

On Friday you are invited to join in an afternoon of games starting around 4pm. Wear a T-shirt, tank top, shorts or socks with a sports logo of your favorite team. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite appetizer to share with the masses. And, if you have a game to add to the festivities, please do.

If anyone has an idea for a themed dinner or fun night, please let me know so it can be organized.

The 357 hectares of land in Fintry Provincial Park includes over 2 km of waterfront, a boat launch, natural sandy beach, waterfalls, deep canyons, hiking trails, old growth cottonwoods and a heritage house “Fintry Estate” with a dairy barn: both are open for guided tours.

Other activities in the area include golf and wineries to visit. You’re on your own to organize these. In past years, some campers brought bicycles and rode a section of the picturesque Kettle Valley Rail Trail.

Fintry is a 4-5 hour drive from the lower mainland and located just north of Kelowna on the west shores of Okanagan Lake.
